Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) official said that the injured pace bowler Tanzim Hasan Sakib is cleared to play competitive cricket after passing his fitness test on Monday.
“He( Tanzim) passed the fitness test and he is fit to play, “a member of BCB medical department told the Daily Sun.
The right-arm pacer is considered as an integral part of Bangladesh’s white-ball set-up.
Tanzim missed the just concluded three-match ODIs against Afghanistan due to his injury.
Tanzim had stiffness in his neck while doing warm-up before a game during the ongoing National Cricket League, country’s traditional first-class tournament, where he features for Sylhet Division.
Following the two Tests against West Indies, Bangladesh will play three ODIs and three T20Is against the host to conclude the series.
The clearance from BCB medical team also paved way for Tanzim to take part in the inaugural edition of the Global Super League in Guyana, starting on November 27.
The five-team competition will feature Caribbean Premier League team Guyana Amazon Warriors, Pakistan Super League's Lahore Qalanders, England's Hampshire, New Zealand's Victoria and Bangladesh’s Rangpur Riders.
Tanzim was picked by Guyana Amazon Warriors for the tournament.
