The Paraguay Football Association has introduced a ban on rival team jerseys at their stadium ahead of the upcoming international clash between the Paraguay national team and Argentina, including Lionel Messi’s iconic No. 10 shirt.
This decision follows a similar move in September, when Paraguay hosted Brazil.
Fernando Villasboa, the FA's Licensing Manager, confirmed that only Paraguay national team jerseys or neutral attire will be allowed in certain sections of the stadium.
Rival team shirts will be prohibited, but club jerseys featuring the name of a player from the rival team will be permitted.
Villasboa clarified that the restriction is not aimed at any individual players, but is intended to preserve a strong home advantage for Paraguay.
