Bangladesh Women’s Cricket Team will play 69 matches apart from the ICC tournaments as per the new FTP (Future Tour Programme), which was released by International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday.
Over 400 international matches will be held in three formats in next four years, reports BSS.
Bangladesh, however, are playing just two formats-ODI and T20. They are yet to get the Test status.
The new cycle will start with the England-South Africa series. Bangladesh will play the first series against Ireland this month. After that, Tigresses will tour Australia and England for the first time.
Along with two T20 World Cups (2026 and 2028) and one ODI World Cup (2025), the Champions Trophy will be held for the first time in this cycle.
Six teams will participate in this T20 format tournament to be held in Sri Lanka in 2027. Eleven teams will participate in the first women's championship. Zimbabwe has joined as a new team.
Apart from this, separate windows have been reserved for the Women's Premier League (India's domestic tournament), Big Bash (Australia) and The Hundred.
