Bangladesh handed Macau a 7-0 thrashing in their third match of the AFC Under-17 Asian Cup 2025 qualifiers at Prince Stadium in Phnom Penh, Cambodia Friday.
The young boys in red and green went to the break with a 1-0 lead after Captain Nazmul Huda Faysal’s 40th minute opener. Eventually he netted four, reports Dhaka Tribune.
They started smashing the opponent after the hour mark.
Mohammad Manik doubled the advantage in the 65th minute before Rifat Kazi extended the led six minutes later.
An own goal by Tang Ting within two minutes made things worse for the struggling Macau side.
Faysal then added three more goals in the 74th, 81st, and 84th minute to complete the rout and secure Bangladesh’s second successive win.
Bangladesh earlier defeated Philippines in their second match of the group after conceding a narrow 1-0 defeat to Cambodia in the opener.
Saiful Bari Titu’s side will conclude their Group B campaign against top-of-the-table Afghanistan at the same venue Sunday.
The 10 group winners and the five best runners-up will qualify for the finals.
