Former cricketer Mickey Arthur has been appointed as the head coach of Rangpur Riders.
The South African-Australian coach replaced Sohel Islam who had coached Rangpur for the last two seasons.
Arthur previously coached South Africa from 2005 to 2010, Australia from 2010 to 2013, Sri Lanka from 2020 to 2021 and Pakistan from 2016 to 2019.
Under his coaching, Pakistan won the ICC Champions Trophy in 2017. He also worked as Pakistan's director in 2023. He also coached BPL franchise Dhaka Dynamites for the season 2015 and Pakistan Super League (PSL) team Karachi Kings, Lanka Premier League (LPL) team Dambulla Aura, Derbyshire.
Meanwhile, the 11th edition of BPL will begin on 27 December.
