The death trap of contemporary politics!

The death trap of contemporary politics!
Golam Maula Rony

Who’s controlling the politics now? One group is saying it’s in the hands of the oppressors, while other is saying the faith destroyers are demolishing everything. The terms like scissor group, vein-shearing group, extortionist, encroachers are hot topics now.  In addition to these allegations and counter-allegations, many people now took the politics in the abyss by discussing the politics with the immature groups. From this lowest possible point, its very hard to think about the account of Awami League’s crime in last 15 years. Many say its all the same and everything was better in previous regime. Some even go one degree extreme and say the country is going to be like Taliban’s Afghanistan.

In today's article, I will not discuss contemporary allegations or counter-allegations. I won’t talk about who is in control of the extortion syndicate now either! I will not say anything about the extortion of  Tk 1500 crore annually in the transport sector, bank seizure, TV station seizure, looting, cow theft, Chhatra League and Jubo League's seizure of empire, lawsuits, and eviction of  people’s houses. Or I will not say anything about those who were in the pit for the last twenty years and were constantly crying to Allah for survival. After suddenly receiving Allah's grace, they have indulged in evil deeds like hypocrisy and treason. Rather, I will just discuss a little about the words like hypocrite and oppressor that political parties are using against each other in recent times, and then move on to the topic of the title.

Let us say something about Jalim (oppressor) at the beginning of the discussion. There is a terrible relationship between the Jalim (oppressor) and the Jahel (ignorant.) That is, oppression is not possible without the ignorance. Again, if there is no Jahiliyyah, then tyranny or ignorance is ineffective. The word Julm is a very familiar word in Bengali. But Jahil and Jahiliyyah are not words of our country. They’re originated in the Arab land. The term Aiyam-e-Jahiliyyah refers to the dark era that lasted for about a hundred years in the vast desert regions of the Arabian Peninsula, from Najd to Hejaz, Bilad Ash-Sham, Balad-e-Rum, and Hazramout in Yemen to Hail, when human life became more unsafe, hateful, risky, cruel, unjust, and senseless than that of animals.

In Arabic, the word Aiyam means era or time, and Jahiliyyah means darkness or darkness. Just as the one hundred years before the Prophethood of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) or before the establishment of the state of Medina are called Aiyam-e-Jahiliyyah. The period of Aiyam-e-Jahiliyyah was almost contemporary inland of Bengal for a hundred years. What was going on in Bengal for a hundred years after the death of Emperor Shashank has earned a reputation in history as Matsyanaya. Whether you call it the Age of Ignorance or Matsyanaya in the history, in both cases, the human mind is always full of fear, terror, doubt and distrust. When it becomes a ‘good’ practice to humiliate people, to use wild animals, trained ferocious animals or hired animal instincts to humiliate them, then it can be called the Age of Ignorance.

The ignorant people live in the era of ignorance. Some of them are like Hitler, Abu Lahab or Abu Jahl. People who have minds devoid of judgment, character and habits full of greed and lust, who are skilled in oppression, murder and corruption, who are badly capable of stealing, robbing, murdering, raping, kidnapping, committing sins, corruption, and having the power to snatch the coveted wealth, wives, daughters, and positions of others are called tyrants. And none can be a tyrant unless he is ignorant, that is, without the sense or conscience. And if an era is not characterized by ignorance, tyrants are not born, bred, or survive there. Therefore, the respected reader must have understood by now what those abusing of opponents as tyrants actually mean.

In response to those who have recently insulted people of opposing political ideology as ‘Jalim’ (oppressors).  The so-called ‘oppressors’ have responded by also insulting the other group and marking them as ‘Munafiq’ (hypocrites).  Now the question is: what and who are hypocrites? If you analyze the etymological meaning, would you consider oppressors to be the worst people or hypocrites? Before making a decision on this matter, you should know the real explanation of the word hypocrite. According to my limited knowledge, I have presented below what I understand about hypocrite for your kind information.

There is no Bengali synonym for Munafiq (hypocrite). There is no English equivalent either; rather there is much debate about whether the word existed in the Arab world before the Quran was revealed. Two of the worst examples of hypocrites are Abdullah bin Ubayy and the false prophet Musaylama tul Kajjab. Even the worst enemies of Islam, such as Saibah-Utbah, Abu Lahab, and Abu Jahl, were not insulted as Munafiqs. Again, Satan, the Devil, the Antichrist, Gog, Magog or the ancient Pharaohs like Haman and Qarun, etc., were not called hypocrites. Hence, hypocrite is such a terrible word that it does not apply to the infidel polytheist, the devil, the terrible animal, the pest, or the virus or bacteria that cause deadly diseases and plagues. So what is a hypocrite? A hypocrite is a vile creature who is human in appearance and can take any form for their own needs or to achieve their own interests. Satan can also change his form. But the difference between a hypocrite and a devil is that Satan obeys Allah, fears Him and does not try to exceed his limits. Satan disobeyed Allah only once and was cursed by Allah only once. On the other hand, a hypocrite disobeys Allah whenever he gets the opportunity, thinks like an ungrateful creature at every moment and changes his own situation. Hypocrites do not believe in the Prophet, Messenger of Allah, God, and angels. But when necessary, they boast that there is no other saint, friend or monk, or priest like them in the world.

In today's article, we will not discuss the oppressors and hypocrites in detail. Only those who are making these abuses can explain why they are doing so. So, without wasting time on those issues, let's start discussing the topic. There is no room for debate that we are all currently going through the most complicated time in history. Especially those who are involved in politics are caught in the death trap of time. As a result, no one can boast today that I am fine, I am safe, and tomorrow will be better than today. Rather, every person is so dissatisfied with his position and continues to express so much impatience, instability and weakness of character in his actions, words and behavior that I have never seen it before in my lifetime.

The death trap that has been created in the current politics has not only increased the risk of death for politicians but has also led the lives and livelihoods of all important bureaucrats, intellectuals, businessmen, writers, cultural figures, saints and gentlemen engaged in state work in a death trap. As a result, the entire country-time-friends-viziers-nazirs-ministers-cop are being chased by handcuffs, hanging traps, the fear of graves or coffins and all this has happened because of the hypocrites and the tyrants of politics.

The hypocrites and the tyrants have used the most deadly weapons to destroy their opponents. They have used ammunition, sticks, bullets, hoes, axes, choppers, knives, razors, scissors, logs, etc. whenever and wherever necessary. They have used people who are worse than dogs, more dangerous than hyenas, more cunning than foxes, more smelly than pigs, and more dangerous than bastards in exchange for money and positions to destroy the character of their opponents, to break their morale or to destroy their financial base. They have invested the maximum amount of money, labor, and intelligence in order to make their party heavyweight, that is, to create more hypocrites, so that Allah and His Messenger are disputed and the balance of Allah's creation is destroyed. On the other hand, the ignorant have created a grave for knowledge, science, honesty, justice, human qualities, etc., in order to make the entire era a time of ignorance, and have made the night like the terrible darkness that was existed in the belly of the fish that swallowed Hazrat Yunus (AS). And they have made the day like the night of the new moon that is caught in the grip of violent summer storm.

Due to the above-mentioned situation, our daily life, economy, social policy, family-household-relatives, business-trade, thought-consciousness, food-behavior-entertainment, etc., have all become distorted and natural light has been extinguished everywhere and the bloody game of fire has started with the torches of hypocrites and oppressors. And we all understand more or less that politics is the most dangerous domain of this bloody game.
