Young director Nuhash Humayun's OTT series "Pett Kata Shaw" season two, titled "Dui Shaw" is now making its mark at international festivals. The four-episode series has secured a spot at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival.
The production company of the series, Chorki has announced that the festival will take place from March 7 to March 15. The “Dui Shaw" series will have its premiere in the episodic category. Nuhash expressed that he is "delighted" by this achievement for the “Dui Shaw" series.
Nuhash personally confirmed the news through his social media platforms, affirming, "News is out! 'Dui Shaw' will have its international premiere at the 2025 SXSW Film & TV Festival. Previous series to have premiered at SXSW include HBO's 'Barry', 'Silicon Valley', 'Mr Robot', 'Girls' and 'What We Do' in the Shadows."
Nuhash mentioned, "I am truly grateful to the entire team, including the actors and crew. Without their efforts, producing work of international quality with a completely local story and style would not have been achievable."
The stories of "Dui Shaw" belong to the fantasy, horror, and mystery genres. Going beyond traditional supernatural themes, Nuhash delves into the inner desires and anger of humans in his narrative.
The stories were written by Nuhash and his mother, Gultekin Khan. This marks the first time that poet Gultekin has written a story for a series.The episodes for the second season are "Waqt", "Bhaggo Bhalo", "Antara", and "Beshura", each offering a unique perspective.
