The film "Priyo Maloti", starring popular small screen actress Mehazabien Chowdhury, is set to hit theaters on December 20.
She plays the titular role, portraying a resilient lower-middle-class woman in the Shankh Dasgupta-directed film.
The film is jointly produced by Frame per Second and the OTT platform Chorki, which recently announced the official release date. This marks Mehazabien's theatrical debut after a 15-year acting career.
On December 12, she shared on her verified Facebook page, "I will meet my audience in the theaters with 'Priyo Maloti'."
Earlier, she had mentioned that the audience has always supported her. Viewers have embraced and loved nearly all of her stories and characters. It is because of their love that she has reached this point in her career. She believes that the audience will also come to theaters to watch her film.
In the meantime, the film has been screened at the Cairo International Film Festival, and the International Film Festival of India.
Besides Mehazabien Chowdhury, other casts of the film includes Nader Chowdhury, Azad Abul Kalam, Shahjahan Samrat, and Rizvi Riju.
