Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) Commissioner Nazmul Karim Khan said there is no security shoratage from our side.
Foreigners are being given maximum security during Biswa Ijtema. They do not have any kind of security lapse,” he said.
Gazipur Metropolitan Police Commissioner Nazmul Karim Khan said this in response to journalists' questions at the police control room regarding the American Embassy's warning about Biswa Ijtema on Friday.
He said, “They have taken measures like them. However, no security lapse has been made for any devotees from home and abroad on our side. We are satisfied with the atmosphere of the Ijtema. Many rumors will spread, but we all have to be vigilant about this.”
He also said this time the Ijtema is being held in a very peaceful manner. Traffic movement around the Ijtema Maidan is normal.
“2,150 devotees from 72 countries have come to the Maidan to participate in Bishwa Ijtema,” he added.
