Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Wednesday forecasted weather may remain mainly dry for the next 24 hours over the country beginning from the morning.
"Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country", said the forecast begins from 9am on Wednesday, reports BSS.
A ridge of sub-continental high extends up to West Bengal and its adjoining areas. A seasonal low lies over the South Bay, extending its trough to the North Bay.
Moderate to dense fog may occur over the country from midnight to morning and it may continue till noon at places. Air navigation, inland river transport and road communication may be disrupted temporarily due to dense fog.
Night temperature may fall by two to three degrees Celsius and day temperature may fall by two to four degrees Celsius over the country. Due to dense fog, cold feelings may increase during the daytime.
The country's maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded at 30.0 degrees Celsius at Sitakunda and the minimum temperature on Wednesday was recorded at 12.8 degrees Celsius at Jashore.
The sun will set at 05:28 pm on Wednesday and will rise at 06:43 am in Dhaka on Wednesday.
