BNP has started a series of talks with allied parties in the anti-fascist movement on the ongoing political situation in the country and the 13th National Parliament elections.
The BNP's liaison committee held separate Talks with the 12-party alliance, the Nationalist Like-Minded Alliance and the Bangladesh Labor Party at the party chairperson's office in Gulshan in the capital. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was also present at the meeting.
Talking to reporters after the meeting, BNP Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan said the current political situation in the country and contemporary issues were discussed in the meeting, however, no final decision was taken.
He said if any decision is taken, we will inform it later.
He also said that the 12-party alliance and BNP are working together against fascism, and its necessity has not ended yet.
Meanwhile, after the meeting, Jatiya Party Chairman Mustafa Jamal Haider, who heads the 12-party alliance, said that no decision has been taken on the future political program. He said that there have been discussions about what kind of programs could be held considering the current political situation in the country, but no decision has been made so far.
