Shafiqul Alam, the press secretary to the Chief Adviser, invited Indian media and others spreading rumors to visit Bangladesh for fact verification.
The invitation was made this morning during a discussion titled "New Bangladesh: Achievements, Challenges, and Way Forward."
The press secretary said, "Many are spreading propaganda that Bangladesh is becoming like Afghanistan. They should engage with the people of this country to dispel such confusion."
During this time, Shafiqul Alam stated that the interim government is working to fulfill the aspirations of the July-August Uprising.
"The reform commission will submit its proposals by December 31, which will be discussed with political parties and all stakeholders. The elections will be held after the reforms are completed," he added.
He further mentioned that the government is working to place the right people in the right positions, noting improvements in the economic situation, banking system, and law & order.
