Students and the public gathered this morning on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway to prevent any disorder that can be created by the Awami League. They have been holding a sit-in at Kanchpur, in Narayanganj’s Sonargaon, one of the busiest entry points to Dhaka.
Along with the sit-ins, people were seen holding processions at various locations across the capital sice Sunday morning.
Rubel, one of the participants at the sit-in, said, “The fascist Awami League, which has killed and crippled thousands of students and citizens and then fled, is once again conspiring to destabilise the country. They have launched this programme to create chaos. We, the students and the people, have taken a stand since morning to prevent their disorder.”
