Hasnat Abdullah, the recently appointed convenor of the Anti-discrimination student movement, has called on all educational institutions in the country to organize a new program. He urged institutions to hold exhibitions showcasing video footage of atrocities committed by the Chhatra League, the student wing of Bangladesh Awami League.
On Wednesday, he urged the students to organize this program through a Facebook post.
He informed his followers on Facebook that a booth had been set up by the Anti-discrimination student movement. This booth is dedicated to collect information related to Chhatra League’s abuse. The booth will remain open from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
In his Facebook post, Hasnat mentioned, “From July 15-17, at TSC in Dhaka University, an exhibition of video footage and still photos showing the attacks on students by Chhatra League terrorists is being held. Additionally, a booth by the Discrimination Resistance Student Movement has been set up here, where evidence of the attackers will be collected over the next three days.”
He urged those with specific evidence to come forward and submit their information at the booth. Hasnat further encouraged everyone to organize similar exhibitions of the Chhatra League’s abuses at their respective educational institutions.
Chhatra League is a student wing of Awami League and it has been recently banned by the current interim government.
