At least eight soldiers and a civilian were killed in Pakistan on Friday in two attacks in provinces bordering Afghanistan.
Citing police officials, Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported on Saturday.
The media quotes an unnamed police source as saying, “Seven soldiers were killed in a security operation in northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province against "armed Taliban".
The police officer told the media on Saturday that in another incident, “A bomb blast from a motorbike killed a security force member and a civilian further south in Balochistan.”
Since last year, the security threat in bordering area between Pakistan and Afghanistan rises as dozens of incidents took place and killed dozens of people including security personnel and military officials.
