Tom Fletcher, the UN under-secretary-general for humanitarian affairs and emergency relief coordinator, said “all entry points to Gaza are closed”, reports Al Jazeera.
“At the border, food is rotting. Medicine is expiring. Vital medical equipment is stuck,” he wrote in a post on X.
“If the basic principles of humanitarian law still count, the international community must act to uphold them,” he said.
UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) chief Philippe Lazzarini warned on Friday that no aid has entered Gaza for more than three weeks, in what he said is the longest blockade since the war began.
