More than 20 people, including six children and five women, have been killed in Israeli airstrikes targeting the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, according to the Wafa news agency.
In northern Gaza, the Indonesian Hospital in Beit Lahiya came under attack, with at least 29 fatalities reported in a series of strikes around the Kamal Adwan Hospital, Gaza’s civil defense agency stated. Al Jazeera’s correspondent in Gaza reported that Israeli tanks and drones in the area are “shooting at any moving object,” whether inside the hospital or in its vicinity.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel’s military operations in Gaza have claimed the lives of at least 44,612 Palestinians and injured 105,834. The conflict was triggered by Hamas-led attacks on Israel on that day, which killed 1,139 people and resulted in over 200 hostages being taken.
Meanwhile, in Lebanon, Israeli attacks since the onset of the war have killed at least 4,047 people and injured 16,638, further escalating the regional toll.
