The Israeli Defence Forces said that some 60 Hezbollah “operatives” were killed on Wednesday in a series of Israeli airstrikes on 20 targets in northeastern Lebanon’s Baalbek and other areas north of the Litani River, reports Times of Israel.
The military separately said that dozens more Hezbollah targets were struck by the Air Force, including a rocket launcher used in an attack on central Israel, weapon depots, and other infrastructure.
Troops of the 91st and 36th divisions, meanwhile, continue to operate in southern Lebanon. During Wednesday, the IDF says troops killed Hezbollah operatives and demolished sites belonging to the terror group, including rocket launchers and weapon depots.
According to the Al Jazeera, Israeli military claimed of killing a about 50 “terrorist” on Wednesday. The media also said citing the military, “its 162 division continues to fight in Jabalia in the north.
The military said that the same division “began to operate in Beit Lahiya”, marking an expansion of military operations in the area which has been under a deadly Israeli military siege for weeks, trapping and killing scores of civilians.
