Chief Adviser's Special Envoy Lutfey Siddiqi on Monday said increasing private investment is a national priority and it holds the key to a full spectrum of challenges from jobs to inflation, reports UNB.
He said this at an inter-authority, inter-ministerial coordination meeting on investment facilitation held at the Chief Adviser’s Office.
“We have to make it easier for investors to do business in Bangladesh and as a pre-requisite, we must make it easier for officials to do business within government.”
Siddiqi said they expect an attitude of teamwork and timeliness with which government officials deal with each other, without compromising on due process.
He said there are already some excellent examples that can be replicated more widely.
“Having a monthly forum where we report on progress and share common challenges should keep us focused on delivery of outcomes," he added.
