Bangladesh’s GDP (Gross Domestic Product) growth decelerated to 3.91 per cent year-on-year in the fourth quarter (April-June) of the fiscal year 2023-24, according to data from the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS).
This figure marks a significant drop compared to 6.88 per cent GDP growth recorded in the same period of the last fiscal year.
Growth rates in the first three quarters of FY24 were recorded at 6.04 per cent, 4.78 per cent, and 5.42 per cent, in comparison to 6.25 per cent, 7.05 per cent, and 3.02 per cent, respectively during the previous fiscal year.
