The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced a star-studded, female-led commentary panel for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, which will be held in England and Wales from June 12 to July 5.
The panel brings together World Cup-winning cricketers, former captains, experienced broadcasters and some of the most respected voices in the sport. They will provide analysis, commentary and expert insights across all 33 matches of the tournament.
Among the former World Cup winners on the panel are Australia's Mel Jones and Julia Price, who were part of their country's ICC Women's Cricket World Cup-winning squad, and West Indies' Stacey-Ann King, a member of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup-winning team.
England's Isa Guha and Ebony Rainford-Brent also feature in the lineup. Both were members of England's World Cup-winning side and played key roles in the team's triumph at the inaugural ICC Women's T20 World Cup in 2009, the last time the tournament was hosted in England.
The commentary team also includes notable figures from men's cricket. Former Australia opener Matthew Hayden is a two-time ICC Men's Cricket World Cup winner, while Dinesh Karthik and Carlos Brathwaite won the ICC Men's T20 World Cup with India and the West Indies respectively.
Veteran commentators Nasser Hussain, Ian Bishop and Ian Smith will reunite for the tournament. The trio famously called the dramatic 2019 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup final at Lord's and remain among the most recognisable voices in global cricket broadcasting.
The panel is further strengthened by former captains and international stars Mithali Raj, Tash Farrant, Anjum Chopra, Simon Doull, Veda Krishnamurthy, Sana Mir, Isobel Joyce and Katie Martin.
They will be joined by presenters and commentators Charles Dagnall, Natalie Germanos, Alan Wilkins, Laura McGoldrick, Jatin Sapru, Kass Naidoo, Raunak Kapoor and Alison Mitchell.
According to the ICC, the diverse lineup reflects the growing influence and global appeal of women's cricket, while ensuring fans receive expert analysis and unique perspectives throughout the tournament.
