Bangladesh defeated visiting Pakistan by 104 runs in 1st Test held at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in the capital on Tuesday.
It's the first Test victory of Bangladesh against Pakistan in the home ground. Bangladesh, earlier, defeated Pakistan in their grounds, but this is the first time Bangladesh made it in the home gound, marking it a historic win.
Due to the fiery bowling of Nahid Rana and Taskin Ahemd, Bangladesh got the upper hand in the game.
Nahid Rana took 5 wickets for 40 runs, while Taskin Ahmed took 2 for the same runs in Pakistan's 2nd innings.
Only Abdullah Fazal of Pakistan showed some resistance by scoring 66 runs from 113 balls. Pakistan bundled out for just 163 runs in 2nd innings.
Earlier, Bangladesh scored 413 runs in 1st and 240 for 9 (dcl.) in 2nd innings.
Najmul Hossain Shanto scored 101 and 87 runs and Mominul Hoque scored 91 and 56 consecutively in both of the innings for Bangladesh .
Pakistan made 386 in their 1st innings. Azan Awais was the top scorer of that innings with 103 runs.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz took 5 wickets of Pak 1st innings for 102 runs.
