Bangladesh ended the third day of the Mirpur Test with a commanding lead of 367 runs over Ireland. The Tigers were all out for 476 in their first innings, while Ireland managed 265 in reply.
In their second innings, Bangladesh reached 156 for 1 at the close of play. Mahmudul Hasan Joy scored 60 before being dismissed, Shadman Islam remained unbeaten on 69 off 110 balls, and Mominul Haque will resume the fourth day on 19 not out from 21 deliveries.
Earlier, Ireland had begun the day at 98 for 5 and added another 167 runs for the remaining wickets. Notable contributions came from Tucker, who scored 75, Jordan Neil with 49, and Stephen Doheny with 46. Taijul Islam was the standout bowler for Bangladesh, taking four wickets and bringing his career tally to 246, equalling Shakib Al Hasan.
Bangladesh will look to extend their advantage further on the fourth day with Mominul and Shadman at the crease.
