Bangladesh’s veteran batter Mushfiqur Rahim, playing the 100th Test of his illustrious career, has added another historic chapter to his two-decade journey filled with memorable achievements.
At the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Wednesday, Mushfiqur remained unbeaten on 99 at stumps on day one of the second Test against Ireland. Resuming his innings this morning, he reached the three-figure mark, making his milestone match even more special.
Mushfiqur is the 84th player in the history of Test cricket to reach the 100-Test milestone, and the first Bangladeshi cricketer to do so. Across Asia, 25 others have previously achieved this feat.
