Bangladesh drew the match against visiting Nepal at home in a friendly match, which was expected to be a ‘win’ for them.
Despite leading 2-1 goals in the match, Bangladesh conceded a goal at the last minute. In the end, the hosts left the field with a 2-2 draw against Nepal.
The hosts were trailing 1-0 in the first half of the friendly match at the National Stadium on Thursday. Bangladesh turned things around in a great way as the second half began with pressure on their heads. Hamza Chowdhury quickly scored a brace. However, Hamza heroics went in vain in the end.
Bangladesh conceded a goal in the 29th minute of the match due to a defensive mistake. Nepal's Rohit Chand scored a goal with a shot from outside the box. In the second half, Coach Javier Cabrera replaced junior Sohel Rana with Shamit Som.
The match was going to end well for Bangladesh. With a 2-1 lead, the coach took Hamza Chowdhury off at the end. After that, Nepal's Ananta Tamang beat goalkeeper Mitul Marma with a back heel after receiving the ball from a corner in injury time. This meant that Bangladesh lost the victory-chance at the last minute.
