The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Sunday announced the list of match officials for the upcoming home series against Ireland, reports the Daily Sun.
The series includes two Test matches and a three-match T20I series.
Zimbabwe’s Andy Pycroft, a member of the ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, will serve as the match referee for all fixtures across both formats.
The first Test will be held from 11 November at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, with Pakistan’s Ahsan Raza and Australia’s Sam Nogajski appointed as the on-field umpires. England’s Richard Illingworth will serve as the TV umpire for the opening Test.
The second Test, scheduled to begin on 19 November at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, will see Sam Nogajski and Richard Illingworth officiating on-field, while Ahsan Raza takes charge as the TV umpire. Tanvir Ahmed and Masudur Rahman Mukul, both from the BCB panel, will serve as the fourth umpires during the Test series.
In the T20I series, to be played in Chattogram, Andy Pycroft will continue his duties as match referee, while local umpires will handle all on-field, TV, and fourth umpire responsibilities. Gazi Sohel, Morshed Ali Khan, Masudur Rahman Mukul, and Tanvir Ahmed will rotate as on-field umpires throughout the three matches.
Notably, female umpire Sathiya Zakir Jesy will be seen officiating as TV and fourth umpire during the T20I series; a positive step for women’s representation in cricket officiating.
The first Test begins on 11 November in Sylhet, followed by the second Test in Mirpur from 19 November. The three T20Is (first two in Chattogram, last one in Mirpur) will take place on 27 November, 29 November, and 2 December, all starting at 6:00 PM Bangladesh Time.
