Renowned actress Pori Moni is set to make her Tollywood debut with the upcoming film 'Felubakshi', slated for release on January 17 next year. Ahead of its release, the first look of Pori Moni in the role of ‘Labonno’ has been revealed.
Directed by Debraj Sinha, the film features Pori Moni alongside Soham Chakraborty, with Kolkata actress Madhumita Sarcar also in a prominent role. The shooting took place in April last year.
On Tuesday, Pori Moni unveiled her first look on her Facebook page, showcasing a stunning appearance in a kurta, with a bindi on her forehead, sindoor in her hair parting, and a bangle on her wrist.
In the caption, she introduced her character, writing, "Meet Labonno, who ignites everything with her warmth and confidence. With a beautiful heart and a wide smile, she spreads humanity, and love."
Pori Moni's new look has been warmly received by her fans, as reflected in the comments beneath her post.
Speaking about her role in 'Felubakshi', Pori Moni told the media in West Bengal, "When I first read the character of ‘Labonno’, I felt a strong sense of confidence that I could bring her to life. That's why I chose the role. Ultimately, it will be up to the audience to decide how well I've done."
It is worth noting that 'Felubakshi' is a thriller film, with Soham Chakraborty playing the titular role.
The character of Felubakshi is smart and tech-savvy, portraying an ordinary Bengali man with a love for food and a passion for solving mysteries. Pori Moni’s character plays the central role in the mysteries that unfold.
