Jaya Ahsan is regarded as one of the best actresses, renowned in both Tollywood and beyond. She has also made her mark in Bollywood, starring with Pankaj Tripathi in the web series 'Kadak Singh.' Known for her acting and fashion, Jaya frequently experiments with her style, sharing her looks on social media.

The fifth Filmfare OTT Awards took place in Mumbai on Sunday, where 39 awards were given in three categories: series, cinema, and critics. Along with Bollywood and Tollywood stars, Bangladeshi actress Jaya Ahsan attended as a guest in the front row. She received a special award at the "Filmfare OTT Award-2024". She also handed over the crest to the awardees.

However, what caught everyone's attention above all else was Jaya's look. The actress stepped onto the Bollywood stage wearing Dhaka's traditional Jamdani. However, she wore Jamdani in a special way, not like a saree. And that made everyone look at Jaya with different opinions, reports Dhaka Tribune.

On Tuesday, Jaya herself released some pictures of the 'Filmfare OTT Award 2024' on social media. It is known that it took about 6 months to make the saree worn by Jaya.

Sharing the picture, Jaya wrote on Facebook, "I try to present the culture I hold when I go to an event. As an artist, this is important to me. Bangladeshi Dhakai Jamdani is an important thing for me. I wanted to break the traditional way of using Jamdani sarees. I think there is no better place to do this than Filmfare."

The actress also wrote, "I get the opportunity to meet famous artists here. It is a privilege to participate here. Thank you to the Filmfare authorities."

Everyone praised Jaya’s post. Especially many in the Bangladeshi industry praised Jamdani for presenting it differently. Some even commented that they fell in love with Jaya’s beauty.

However, there are also negative comments against the look. Many felt that traditional Jamdani saree should not have been presented like this.

It is worth mentioning that when the host called Jaya on stage at the ‘Filmfare OTT Awards 2024’, he said, "Fine Actress of Bengal". At that time, Kareena Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Vijay Verma, Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha and many others were in the audience.

Tollywood’s psychological drama OCD is set for release, with Jaya taking on both acting and producing roles. Other films like Putul Nacher Itikotha, Kalantar, and Nakshikathar Zamin will also be released soon.
