The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has reported that in the past 24 hours, two children have died from measles and five others have died with measles-like symptoms.
During the same period, 1,462 people were admitted to hospitals across the country with measles symptoms.
In terms of deaths, Dhaka Division recorded the highest number, with five deaths suspected to be linked to measles in the last 24 hours.
According to a press release on Monday, the number of suspected measles cases in the past 24 hours was 1,282, and from March 15 to April 6, a total of 8,534 suspected cases have been reported.
The confirmed measles cases numbered 180 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total confirmed cases from March 15 to April 6 to 1,099.
