BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed said the interim government has been formed after the mass uprising, but don’t think we will want to see you here until the end of time.
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the BNP youth rally at historic Circuit House ground in Khulna on Saturday.
BNP’s associate organizations Chatradol, Jubo Dal and Swechchhasebak Dal organized the rally. A large number of young leaders and activists from Khulna and Barisal divisions joined the rally.
Swechchhasebak Dal central president SM Jilani and Jubo Dal general secretary Nurul Islam Nayan addressed the rally as special speakers.
Chatradol central president Rakibul Islam Rakib presided over the rally. Swechchhasebak Dal central general secretary Rakib Ahsan and Chatradol general secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir moderated the event.
Salahuddin Ahmed said, "The only mandate of this government is to hold transparent and impartial national elections. We said that the national elections should be held in December on a priority basis after carrying out urgent electoral reforms."
Earlier, Jubo Dal central president Abdul Monayem Munna spoke as the main speaker.
