BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas said, “BNP is ready for elections at the time set by the interim government. However, various political parties are making various statements about the elections to confuse the government.”
He said this at the inauguration ceremony of the primary membership renewal program of Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP at the party's central office in Nayapaltan in the capital on Friday afternoon.
At the time, Mirza Abbas also called on all political parties to abandon the path of conspiracy and cooperate with the interim government for the sake of fair elections in the interest of the country.
He said, 'It is necessary to work carefully and consciously while renewing the party. Those who are involved in fascism or misdeeds cannot be made party members.'
Noting that there are selfish and opportunistic people in the party, the BNP leader said, “we do not need thousands of people; 10 good and loyal activists will be sufficient for us."
