BNP vice chairman and former FBCCI president Abdul Awal Mintoo said the country's development is not possible by keeping any business establishment closed.
“If businessmen have committed any crime, they should be trialed. But harassment of businessmen without any reason must stop,” he said.
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration of a free medical camp organized by Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Children's Hospital on Friday morning to mark the 10th death anniversary of renowned sports organizer Arafat Rahman Koko.
Regarding the participation of the Awami League in the next parliamentary elections, Abdul Awal Mintoo said that the people will decide whether the Awami League will be able to come to the parliamentary elections as the people of the country are the source of all power.
He said, “There has been no development in Bogra for the last 15 years. We want to work for the businessmen of Bogura. Bogura is the capital of the northern region, so we have to work for the development of this district. Therefore, power must be transferred to the elected government. The development of Bogura is not possible without an elected government. The people must judge those who have looted for 15 years."
