Law enforcement agencies members have arrested Benjir Hossain Nishi, joint general secretary of the central committee of the banned organization Chhatra League, from Satkhira.
She was arrested from Debhata in the district at around 3 am on Sunday.
Debhata Police Station OC Hazrat Ali confirmed the matter.
He said that based on secret information, we came to know that Nishi was staying at the house of Rashidul Islam, a health assistant at the Debhata sub-health center. Later, based on specific information, she was arrested after conducting a raid.
Incidentally, on February 21, 2022, while going to lay flowers at the Central Shaheed Minar on the occasion of International Mother Language Day, Nishi got into a bloody discussion by beating up Md. Yasin, former Relief and Disaster Management Secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan South Chhatra League.
