A court in Dhaka on Monday showed five people, including Hasanul Haq Inu, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, and Salman F Rahman, arrested in fresh cases filed over a murder attempt and several murders that took place during the student-led July-August mass uprising.
The two other arrestees are – Shahjahan Khan, and Atiqul Islam, reports BSS.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sharifur Rahman passed the orders as police produced the five accused before the court and pleaded to show them arrested in the cases.
Among the five accused, Salman F Rahman was shown arrested in a murder case filed with the Mirpur Model Police Station, while Palak was shown arrested in another murder case filed with the Shahbagh Police Station.
Former Dhaka North City Corporation mayor Atiqul Islam was shown arrested in a murder attempt case filed with the Airport Police Station and a murder case filed with the Uttara West Police Station.
Shahjahan Khan was shown arrested in a murder case filed with the Hatirjheel Police Station, while Hasanul Haque Inu was shown arrested in another murder case filed with the Gulshan Police Station.
