Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman said they want to build a country where there will be no discrimination, and people regardless of religions, castes will live together on the basis of equal rights.
He on Sunday night made the statement while addressing as the chief guest at assembly at Saidpur of Nilphamari district.
He said: “If Jamaat-e-Islami comes to power, it will not force the veil on anyone. An education system will be formulated where women will wear the veil of their own free will.”
The Jamaat Ameer said: “We want to build the country as a well-groomed garden. For this, united cooperation from everyone is needed. Therefore, collective efforts must continue.”
He added that it will be possible to establish the economically ruined country as a prosperous and welfare-oriented country again if a collective move is made.
“Farmers will grow crops to support the country and improve the quality of the country. No businessman will have his institution taken away. No one will be suppressed through oppression. We will gift the nation a country like a well-groomed garden by enriching all sectors including industry, health, and education, God willing,” he continued.
Shafiqur Rahman said: “Jamaat-e-Islami did not take over the Islami Bank, new robbers disguised as robbers went to take over the bank after August 5. They have escaped. Jamaat-e-Islami did not take over the bank, rather this bank has returned to its mother’s lap.”
