Eight people, including Salman F Rahman, Anisul Huq and Hasanul Haque Inu, on Monday were shown arrested in fresh cases lodged over the murders that took place during the student-led July-August mass uprising.
The other people, who have been shown arrested, were Rashed Khan Menon, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun, Major General (sacked) Ziaul Ahsan, and Md Sadek Khan, reports BSS.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nazmin Akter passed the orders as police produced the eight accused before the court and pleaded to show them arrested in the cases.
Of the eight, Salman F Rahman, Hasanul Haque Inu, Rashed Khan Menon, Anisul
Huq and Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun were shown arrested in the case lodged with the capital's Jatrabari Police Station over the killing of Jisan.
Md Sadek Khan was shown arrested in Mohammadpur's Rokon murder case, while Ziaul Ahsan was shown arrested in another murder case filed with the same police station.
Former state minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak was shown arrested in Md Shamim murder case filed with the capital's New Market Police Station.
