Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser Professor M Aminul Islam has said the government will soon establish an education commission with a couple of days, reports UNB.
The commission will be consisted of distinguished and skilled people, he said at the Dean's Award ceremony held at the International Conference Room of Daffodils International University in Savar on Wednesday.
He said the government is working to bring change by increasing the education budget and enhancing all forms of cooperation.
Professor Aminul further stressed the importance of instilling a sense of competition and excellence among students.
He said proficiency in English language is essential for creating job opportunities, enhancing skills, and succeeding in both research and professional fields at home and abroad.
"In our country's education system, too much emphasis is given on memorisation rather than fostering creativity, which stifles the innovative potential of youth. You must strive to become skilled innovators," he added.
Professor Amidul also called for specialised training alongside formal education.
He urged the students to prepare themselves for the challenges of the post-fourth industrial revolution, particularly in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
At the ceremony, 109 students from various departments of the university were honored with the prestigious Dean's Award for their academic excellence.
