Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast light rain at one or two places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions in 24 hours commencing 9am.
“Light rain is likely to occur at one or two places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country,” said a regular bulletin of the met office on Saturday, reports UNB.
Night temperature may fall slightly and day temperature may fall by 1-2 degrees Celsius over the country.
Besides, the deep depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining area moved northwestwards and intensified into a cyclonic storm “Fengal” and now lies over the same area at 6am on Saturday.
It is likely to move northwesterly direction further and may cross the North Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coast on Saturday evening. Its associated trough extends up to the North Bay.
The country’s highest temperature was recorded in Sitakunda at 34.0 degrees Celsius on Friday while the lowest temperature at 10.3 degrees Celsius in Panchagarh’s Tetulia was recorded till 6am on Saturday.
