The Iranian military confirmed on Saturday that the Israeli military has launched several airstrikes targeting the military bases in Ilam, Khuzestan and Tehran provinces, reports Al Jazeera.
The airstrikes caused a “limited damage”, the Iranian military said in a statement on state television.
Iran’s military claimed its air defences limited the damage inflicted by Israel’s strikes.
The statement from Iran’s armed forces was read aloud on state television, which showed no images from the sites of the attacks.
