Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has submitted the final squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Australia 2022 on Friday.
Top-order batter Soumya Sarkar and pacer Shoriful Islam, who was originally on the standby list, have been added to the final squad.
They have replaced batter Sabbir Rahman and all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin who were in the main 15-member squad earlier.
Sabbir and Saifuddin will return home from New Zealand where they played the tri-series.
The Bangladesh squad will travel to Brisbane in Australia for the World Cup campaign where they will play two-warm matches against Afghanistan and South Africa before starting their campaign on October 24 with the Super 12 match against a qualifying team from the first round.
Final squad: Shakib Al Hasan (c), Litton Das, Soumya Sarkar, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Afif Hossain, Nurul Hasan Sohan, Mosaddek Hossain, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Yasir Ali, Shoriful Islam, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Nasum Ahmed, Ebadot Hossain, and Hasan Mahmud.
