Pakistan won by 5 wickets with 3 balls remaining against New Zealand in the final match of the T20I Tri-Series on Friday in Christchurch of New Zealand.
Wicketkeeper batter Mohammad Rizwan has become the player of the match by scoring 34 runs off 29 balls.
Winning the toss, Pakistan opted to bowl first. New Zealand captain Kane Williamson found form with a 33-ball half-century.
In the second innings, chasing 164 runs in 20 overs, Pakistan scored 168 runs with 3 balls remaining.
Skipper Babar Azam failed to add a big score in the final match. However, another opener Mohammad Rizwan, top order batter Mohammad Nawaz and Haider Ali brought the match under control.
After having hit an unbeaten 45 off 20 balls at No.4 against Bangladesh on Thursday, Nawaz stepped up with an unbeaten 38 off 22 balls as a pinch-hitting No. 4 once again, offering Pakistan a great deal of flexibility for the T20 World Cup in Australia to immediately follow.
