The Bashundhara Residential Area has become the attractive and desired location for the residents of the capital as it has been providing well-planned residence and best citizen-facilities. With its broad road under the shade of Krishnachura tree, well-arranged, calm and clean area, its more than a residential area, indeed. All the citizen-facilities including playground, mosque, graveyard, sport-complex, park, convention, schools, colleges, hospitals are available here at the doorstep. It’s really a peaceful harbor in this city of sunshine.

According to the sources, Bashundhara Housing is the country’s first and largest residential project approved by the Rajdhani Development Authority (RAJUK). The communications system here is facilitated with the 300-feet expressway located to the north of the residential area. The refreshing breezes come from the nearby 200-feet lake removes the stress and monotony of the dwellers. 120-feet wide Madani Avenue is located to the south of Bashundhara. At least 25 feet wide streets are in front of each plot of the area. A canal of 25 km length, surrounded by palm and coconut tree goes across within it.

Five renowned universities are located in and adjacent areas of Bashundhara, in addition to 13 international quality schools. Besides, the international chain hospitals Evercare, there’re four more specialized hospitals and diagnostic centers. The Bashundhara Residential Area has kept the heritage of Dhaka’s identity of ‘The City of Mosque’ as 44 mosques are located in the area. The Central Mosque is under construction and upon its construction, around 1, 00,000 Muslims would be able to offer their prayers at a time. The construction work of Graveyard and Eidgah is also underway on 105 bighas of land.

Bashundhara Housing has constructed the country’s largest convention center to provide the facility of arranging international events, cultural evening, fair, exhibitions or family programs. It’s ‘International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) with five large halls, where there’s facility for taking foods for 10,000 guests at a time. 3,000 cars can be parked in its big parking zone.

The Bashundhara Residential Area is covered with all kinds of security facilities as 1,000 security guards are in-charge of keeping the security and safety of the area intact. 24 hrs monitoring through artificial intelligence camera system is activated at every point. The area beamed with butterfly-designed street-lights as soon as the evening falls.

There’re branches of almost all the government and private banks in the area. Bashundhara presented the splendor of greenery in the midst of this city built with bricks, stones and woods.

The resident of Bashundhara, private bank service-holder Saiful Islam said, “I go out for doing exercise in the evening. Then, I jog and my six-years-old son makes a race with me by paddling his cycle. There’s a very friendly and safe environment here, which is unimaginable at other places in the city. No sign of mike-speaker generated pollution or high sound of car-horn is visible here. Hence, to me, Bashundhara is the best residential area.”

Bashundhara Sport Complex has ushered a new era in games and sports in the country. The enormous sports complex is located on 250 bighas of land. It includes international standard cricket stadium, football field, and modern swimming pool with diving facility. Besides, the complex facilitates games like hockey, basketball, badminton and others. Its football field is being constructed according to the standard of Asian Football Federations (AFC), which will be capable of accommodating around 10,000 spectators.
