Popular Bangladeshi band Shironamhin has surprised fans with a special release at this year’s Amar Ekushey Book Fair, reports UNB.
The band has released an exclusive lyric compilation book titled ‘Gitikobita Somogro’, featuring lyrics from all their songs, including unreleased ones, spanning their 29-year musical journey.
The band announced the book’s release on their official Facebook page on Monday: “For the past 29 years, fans have listened to Shironamhin’s songs through albums and digital platforms. Many have cherished our lyrics, associating them with personal emotions and memories.”
“Now, what if all the lyrics, including those from our eighth album, ‘Batighor’ were compiled into a single book? That’s exactly what we are offering at this year’s book fair, as you can find Shironamhin’s lyrical compilation ‘Gitikobita Somogro’ at Gotidhara Prokashoni, Pavilion 17.”
Since its inception in 1996, Shironamhin has gifted fans with numerous iconic tracks such as ‘Hashimukh’, ‘Bondho Janala’, ‘Pakhi’, ‘Nishchup Adhare’, ‘Ei Obelay’ and more, earning a devoted following over the decades. Successfully presenting orchestration with rock gestures in Bengali music, the band became one of the most popular and unique Bangladeshi bands with their experimental fusion featuring classical instruments such as sarod, cello, flute, esraj, violin and many more.
The band has recently released a new song titled ‘Priyotoma’, in celebration of Valentine’s Day. The song, penned by Ziaur Rahman, is composed and directed by Kazi Ahmed Shafin, with the music video featuring models Sifat Amin Shuvo, Jannatul Ferdous Bismi, and child artist Maan Bahadur.
Currently, Shironamhin is going through a busy schedule with concerts and promotions for their latest releases.
