Telenor CEO meets PM Tarique Rahman to discuss telecom investment

Benedicte Schilbred Fasmer, President and Chief Executive Officer of Norway-based telecom company Telenor Group, met Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Monday.

The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s Office at the Secretariat, according to a press release.

Discussions focused on telecommunications investment and the development of digital infrastructure in Bangladesh, highlighting opportunities for further collaboration between the government and international telecom operators.

Benedicte Schilbred Fasmer has been serving as President and CEO of Telenor Group since December 2024.
