Hasnat Abdullah, the convener of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, has stated that Sheikh Hasina has destroyed democracy through "midnight elections" and "dummy elections." He asserted that all conspiracies to rehabilitate the fascist Hasina and her allies would be resisted.
He made these remarks on Monday afternoon during an exchange meeting titled "Chuadanga Rising," organized by the Jatiya Nagorik Committee in Chuadanga. The event was held at the open stage of Chuadanga Shilpakala Academy.
At the event, Hasnat said, "Among our active politicians, no one is discussing holding killer Hasina accountable. Instead, discussions revolve around whether Awami League will participate in the next election or not. They are not debating how to ban Awami League. They want to seize Awami League's business interests and take over its political structure through rehabilitation."
In his speech, Hasnat Abdullah further said, He continued, "Our ‘Apa’(meaning Hasina) is just across the Chuadanga border. From there, she occasionally threatens us, saying she might suddenly enter the country. But the Anti-Discrimination students and people of Chuadanga will ensure she cannot pass through. You will be the ones to stop the fascist Hasina."
Addressing the nation's top politicians, Hasnat Abdullah said, "Those who are thinking about rehabilitating the fascist Awami League instead of ensuring justice are acting as her collaborators. Sheikh Hasina could not buy the younger generation. You cannot buy us by offering us parliamentary positions."
“Those who are present here could not vote in the last three elections. A few individuals may have voted, but those who did often cast 30 to 40 votes each, while the rest couldn’t cast even one. Killer Hasina’s name will go down in history for holding midnight elections," he further added.
