BNP leader Kaikobad returns home after 13 years

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) leader Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad has returned to the country after 13 years in exile.

Kaikobad, BNP vice chairman, former religion minister and five times elected MP from Comilla-3 constituency, has landed on Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 11:20 on Saturday.

Recently he has been acquitted from cases filed during the former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina regime.

However, thousands of leaders and activist were present at the airport to welcome him.

From the airport he went to visit the grave of the former president of Bangladesh and BNP founder, Ziaur Rahman, and then he is scheduled to visit his parents’ grave at Muradpur.
