The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), in a drive, arrested an Indian national with Indian goods from Burimari Landport area under Patgram upazila of Lalmonirhat on Saturday night.
The arrested was identified as Firoj Rahman (35), a truck driver and son of late Yakub Rahman, a resident of Changrabandha Thana in Cooch Behar district, India.
A team of the BGB arrested Firoj and seized his truck from the Burimari frontier area while conducting the drive, said BGB Tista-2 Battalion Commander Subedar Abul Kashem.
It also seized Indian wine, cream, oil, mobile SIM card and Indian and Saudi currencies after searching his truck.
Later, the BGB men handed him over to Patgram Police Station.
Patgram Police Station officer-in-charge Asrafuzzaman Sarker said a case was filed in this connection.
