After months of fierce competition, shocking blindsides and emotional moments, Aubry Bracco emerged as the winner of the reality show “Survivor 50” in a dramatic season finale aired on Wednesday night, reports the Today.
The milestone season ended with Aubry defeating Jonathan Young and Joe Hunter in the final vote, securing the $2 million grand prize in front of a live audience in Los Angeles.
The three-hour finale began with the final five contestants, Aubry Bracco, Jonathan Young, Tiffany Ervin, Joe Hunter and Rizo Velovic, battling for survival as tensions continued to rise inside the camp.
During the first immunity challenge, Jonathan narrowly secured victory, guaranteeing his place in the final four.
Back at camp, Tiffany attempted to convince others to vote out Aubry, claiming her underdog story made her the biggest threat in the game. However, the plan did not succeed.
At Tribal Council, Rizo played his Hidden Immunity Idol, leaving Tiffany vulnerable. She was voted out and became the latest member of the jury.
Later, the contestants faced the iconic “Simmotion” challenge for the final immunity battle. Aubry claimed her first immunity win of the season and secured a place in the final three.
She then chose Joe Hunter to join her in the finale, while Jonathan and Rizo competed in the fire-making challenge for the remaining spot.
One of the night’s most talked-about moments came when longtime host Jeff Probst accidentally spoiled the result of the fire-making challenge before it aired.
Before the challenge was shown, Probst mistakenly introduced Rizo as the final jury member, leading to visible shock among contestants and audience members.
After returning from a commercial break, Probst jokingly described the mistake as the season’s “last twist.”
As expected after the spoiler, Jonathan defeated Rizo in the fire-making showdown and advanced to the Final Tribal Council.
During the final vote reveal, Aubry was declared the winner in an 8-3 vote.
Speaking after her victory, Aubry said she returned to the competition with greater confidence and experience.
Alongside the cash prize, she also received a Toyota Land Cruiser.
Meanwhile, fan-favorite contestant Cirie Fields received singer Sia’s special $100,000 award after viewer voting.
Producers also teased the upcoming season, “Survivor 51,” promising dangerous twists and a new “Open Era” format for the long-running reality series.
