Twenty industrial units under six categories received the ‘President’s Industrial Development Award-2020’ for their outstanding contribution to Bangladesh's economy.
Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun handed over the awards at a function at Osmani Memorial auditorium in the capital on Thursday as the chief guest.
Industries Secretary Zakia Sultana presided over the function while State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Mojumder, Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI) President Md Jashim Uddin, and high officials of the concerned ministry were present at the event.
The industries minister called upon all owners of the industries to produce world-standard products in the country besides setting up smart and environment-friendly mill factories.
He, later, handed over awards to twenty industrial units under big, medium, small, micro, cottage, and high-tech categories.
