BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that they are not getting clear directions from the interim government about the elections.
He came up with the observation while speaking at the party's extended meeting at the LD Hall of Parliament on Thursday.
Mirza Fakhrul said, “The country’s people hope that a change will happen in the country after fleeing fascist Hasina on August 5. They will get back their voting rights and can franchise to elect public representatives. Unfortunately, we can’t see such clear instructions.”
The BNP leader also said, “You all have watched that BNP has sacrificed a lot for the democracy and voting rights of the people.”
“The law and order situation is deteriorating in the country. There is no educational environment at the universities. Efforts are underway to drop the names of many renowned persons from the universities born in the undivided Bengal,” he added.
Fakhrul also alleged that the ousted fascist Sheikh Hasina is hatching a conspiracy against the country and its people.
"Sheikh Hasina is hatching a conspiracy. Some people are also delivering misleading speech," he said.
He said only the BNP has brought positive changes in the country and will do so in the days coming for the welfare of the people.
Mirza Fakhrul also called the party men to behave in such a way that people are not unhappy with the party.
